The payment rate for data entry jobs depends on the following factors
1. Typing speed
2. Accuracy of typing
3. How clear the inputs are - handwritten documents will not be very clear.

Many US companies offering data entry jobs will insist that the applicant take a typing test to check their typing speed before they are accepted for the position. In india the procedure has not been defined very clearly.
